Pemissive Routes
If you are a land owner or know of any land owner that would allow a permissive route for horse riding accross a peice of land this would be very welcome and would increase the facilities for horse riders.
A landowner can allow access for horse riding on his/her land without it becoming a permanent right of way. A letter can be lodged with the local authority to state that the landowner is allowing a permissive route and that they do not wish it to become a permanent right of way. This means that even if people have access to the land for over 20 years it can never be claimed as a permanent right of way allowing the landowner to shut of the path if they feel that they are not confortable with having it on their land.
If anyone is in this position please contact Briars Bridleways and we will discuss options such as lockable gates and corals to keep in stock.
